Volunteers' week 2015

National Volunteers' Week is upon us and once again, local charities and voluntary organisations will be showcasing their work and the work of their amazing volunteers in a bid to attract new help.

You may remember our Volunteering Expo which took place in the Market Square in 2013? Or the Volunteering Pop-Up Shop that we manned during Volunteers' Week 2014? Both events enabled would-be volunteers to find out more about how they can help.

This year, with thanks to the Association of Guernsey Charities, you can find out more about local volunteering opportunities from the comfort of your own home (or work desk...) Every day this week, the Guernsey Press will be running stories about local charities and volunteers, including information on how you can get stuck in.

Now there are more ways than ever for you to find out about volunteering in Guernsey. You can register with us here at the Foundation to offer your professional skills to charities, or you can visit www.volunteer.gg and www.charity.org.gg to browse volunteering opportunities online.

We hope you and your friends and family will be inspired by what you read this week!
