Carers Guernsey is recruiting!
Carers Guernsey is a new charity dedicated to supporting the 4,000 Islanders of all ages who provide informal care for family members and friends with life-limiting health conditions.
The charity, chaired by ex-Chief Minister Peter Harwood, is now recruiting a part-time Manager and a full-time Outreach Worker. The two members of staff will together be responsible for developing Carers Guernsey’s initial services, which will include emotional support sessions, carer peer support, advocacy work and training.
Once appointed, the Manager will start to build a team of volunteers to help broaden the range of support that Carers Guernsey delivers. The intention is also to provide a signposting service for carers or would-be carers who need help accessing help already provided by the public, private and charitable sector.
Those interested in applying can contact Jim Roberts on 748056 or firstname.lastname@example.org for an informal, confidential chat.
