On the lookout for a new judge...
The Guernsey Community Foundation is on the lookout for a new judge to join its Community Awards Panel.
Chair of the Panel Jason Green said:
“We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of the local charitable sector who is independently minded and able to review, consider and analyse a significant amount of material and make unbiased decisions.
“This voluntary role will involve setting aside some reading time, attending three judging meetings between August and November where the nominations are discussed, and attending the Awards ceremony.”
The judges decide on the longlist, the shortlist and the winners in each of the seven Awards categories.
Interested applicants are invited to contact Jim Roberts, Chief Executive, Guernsey Community Foundation via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Community Awards is a celebration of local charities, organisations, groups, individuals and businesses who raise money, provide services and undertake community projects for the benefit of the Bailiwick.
This year’s Awards, which take place on 17th November, will be particularly special as they coincide with the Foundation’s 10th anniversary.
Nominations for the Awards open in August, with tickets going on sale later in the year.
