The Community Foundation is pleased to announce that it will be hosting three masterclass training sessions for the voluntary sector this June and July. The sessions will focus on governance, innovation and campaigning. We will be joined by external expert speakers who will share their insights, such as Guernsey Registry staff.
Sign up is via Eventbrite and detailed below. We hope to see you at the sessions.
All events are free and open to all charity staff, volunteers and board members, and will be held at Les Cotils. Tea and coffee will be provided. Dates and timings are detailed in the links below.
1. Managing your Charity's Business Plan - 24th June 13:00-15:00
A practical workshop reviewing tools and templates. The workshop will help you to assess your organisations service design and business strengths and weaknesses and help you to take practical steps towards refreshing your existing Business Plan and making a compelling business case for your services.
2. Great Charity Governance - 2nd July 15:30 - 17:30
Did you know you need to refresh your constitution? Do you have all of the tools and templates to ensure your governance is being managed in line with best practice?
This practical workshop will walk you through a simple audit tool and provide you with templates and ideas to strengthen your organisation's governance processes, including a briefing about producing your new constitution document by Helen Gains from Guernsey Registry.
3. Charity Campaigning and Influencing 8th July 13;00 - 14:30
A practical workshop that looks at how your organisation communicates with its stakeholders, how to engage with your audience and build your organisation a stronger public profile.
The session will include a debate about the challenges of funding campaigning work and demonstrate examples of where grant funding has been successfully secured to promote influencing work.
