Seeking new Chair to continue Foundation’s community impact

May 15, 2025

The Guernsey Community Foundation is seeking a new Chair to lead the Foundation, as we continue to make a positive impact on the community.

The Foundation works to promote effective philanthropy and to improve the Island’s quality of life, particularly for those most in need.

This year we celebrate our 15th anniversary. In that time, we have awarded substantial grants to local charities, undertaken extensive social policy work, and provided essential support to the charitable sector.

As Foundation Chair, you will be a key figure in motivating and guiding our work. In this voluntary role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders – from philanthropists and CEOs to politicians and charitable sector workers – using your communication and leadership skills to inspire, build consensus, and represent the Foundation with confidence and diplomacy.

This role is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the community, gaining valuable insights into the Island’s charitable sector and helping to shape the future of philanthropy in Guernsey. Your commitment will enable us to further our mission of making people’s lives better.

Candidates must have an interest in the charitable sector but do not need to have worked in the sector. A keen social conscience is, however, essential.

For more information or to apply, please contact Chief Executive Jim Roberts at jim@foundation.gg.

Application deadline: Sunday 1st June
